Big Cogs France en Velo Cycle Challenge - Sponsorship Support

myCloud Media is delighted to be supporting the Big Cogs France en Velo cycle challenge and our MD, Tim Bennett, is part of the team taking on 1,600 kilometres and over 60,000 feet of climbing on their 11-day ride.

Big Cogs France en Velo

On the 13th of May, a team of 11 adventure cyclists known as the Big Cogs (with their base in Kirkburton and Highburton, near Huddersfield), set out to ride over 1,600km in 11 days from St Malo on the French north coast to Nice on the French Rivera.

The riders are fully self-funding the trip so 100% of all donations will go to the charities which can be individually selected by the donors via the links on the Big Cogs website.

The challenge has gained support from Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, world-record cyclist, Mark Beaumont and ex-Huddersfield Town player, Michael Hefele.

An exceptional local service that relies on donations to function and is particularly close to our heart as one of the group, Paul Aspinall, was air-lifted to hospital following a cycling accident in 2019 that resulted in a serious head injury. This is also a selected charity of Rob’s employer Asda.

A local Huddersfield hospice that delivers outstanding care to children with life shortening conditions.

A charity working tirelessly to combat this challenging and relatively common condition. This charity is particularly close to one of our riders, Jonny, and sponsor, RRG Group, who sadly lost a colleague to this illness.

Unfortunately, this charity needs little introduction given the ongoing humanitarian challenges being faced by so many Ukrainians in their homeland.

Tim Bennett - Big Cogs France en Velo 2022

myCloud Media M.D., Tim Bennett is part of the cycle team. He said; "This will be my biggest sporting challenge yet and I am really happy that myCloud Media can support the challenge with website design and digital marketing services to help boost the fundraising efforts."

The spectacular route across France passes through 19 Départments taking in the most famous cycling regions, such as the Loire and Provence, as well as the lesser-known gems, like the Lot river and the verdant banks of the Vienne.
